Why am I so tired?

Is it normal to feel so tired after all those b12 injections? I've slept for nine hrs overnight but wake extremely tired and it lasts all day. Why?

Hi Buster_uk,

Yes its completely normal judging by my experience, the experience of others and reading leaflets. The why is quite complex - I'm not a medical doctor, but essentially B12 is involved in releasing energy - so if you don't have it, you feel tired. The injections will help, over time, I have been having injections for 12 months and I still feel tired and ill physically, but my psychologically and intellectually I'm much better. There is lots of information available from the PAS and here on the forums.

Thank you for your reply. I seem to awake tired stay tired u till about 5pm then I wake slightly. My ferritin is quite low too so maybe with injecting the b12 it is lowering my already low iron stores.
