Is there any link between low B12 and testosterone?

Hello,

Is there any link between very low b12 and testosterone/sex hormones. I'm seriously b12 deficient and has bloodwork done. Low b12, slightly anemic, normal total T (480, 250-1100 N) but my free T and bioavailable T are very low (FT 32.2, 46-224 N. BAT 63.5, 110-575 N) with high SHBG (72, 10-50 N). The Total testosterone really doesnt mean too much as FT and BAT are what matter. I have a very low sex drive and low muscle mass. Not sure if it's the b12 or the low T that's causing these problems or if there is some sort of connection between the two.

Any info would be greatly appreciated. With love.

I did a little more research and have a hypothesis. It might be a combination of b12 def and b6 def. B6 def has a lot of similar issues to b12 def like neuro symptoms and anemia which I both have. My homocysteine crashed from 29.1 to 6.5 since starting b12 supplementation a week ago but anemia has only slightly improved. Is by the missing piece?

Now in regards to testosterone, by is vital to testosterone production and b6 supps boost testosterone. Low free testosterone and mediocre total testosterone may be due to b6 def along with my b12 def (159). I ordered a blood test online and will get it tested shortly. Would still love to hear feedback.

Unsure if this helps you.

My testosterone was virtually non existent a couple of years ago while I had all the symptoms of PA (but wasn't diagnosed with PA at the time.)

I was given hormone injections but they thickened my blood & caused acne so I stopped having them.

Diagnosed last year with PA & testosterone seems to be normal again since having B12 injections. So unsure if linked, if low B12 was the cause or just coincidence?

i am wondering the same thing. i have low free and total T. my b12 is low on the reference range. i did find this one pubmed article which probably means near nothing since it's just one study and correlation isn't necessarily cause.
