Gmaw5 - you don't say if you have a diagnosed B12 absorption problem or not.
Assuming not then this may be the answer
- liver problems can lead to your liver dumping B12 its stores of B12 into your blood. It seems that significant numbers of people respond to the high serum B12 in a way that makes the mechanisms that allow your B12 to pass from your blood to your cells a lot less efficient with the result that, although the B12 levels in your blood are high not enough is getting through to your cells for them to run all the processes that need B12 to run. This is called 'functional B12 deficiency'.
See how the blood tests come back.
Strictly speaking this is off-topic for this forum which is actually about an auto-immune condition that attacks the gut focusing particularly on the mechanism that accounts for most of your B12 absorption, resulting in B12 deficiency.
