mRI results when lost use of leg could this be caused by B12 deficiency

Last year I ended up going to hospital as lost use of leg, these were results of MRI, I since found out GP should of revered me to spinal clinic but sent me to physio , the Drs letter to him said they had 1st thought I had Cauda equina, , they never told me that,

I was in hospital a week and discharged myself as they did not do one blood test , so better off at home..

so is any of this caused by B12 def? Or maybe it’s not .

My leg is bit better now but I’m left with no reflexes but they seem little bothered about it..

I am not a medic but it sounds to me as if the problem is bones in your spine trapping nerves and doesn't on the face of it sound as if it is typically something where B12 would be involved.

Having said that B12 does play a part in cell reproduction and can be associated with osteo-arthritis but again, that doesn't quite seem to fit with the above.

Got to agree with Gambit62 - your spondylolisthesis is a physical injury that, according to Dr Google, is most likely caused by trauma or wear and tear. It is common in people who took part in gymnastics or athletics as children. It's not the sort of thing one would expect from a B12 deficiency.

I don't see any blood draw on what you posted. For a protruded disc, it can definitely cause a leg to not work. You should have been referred to Neurologist to find out which nerve is causing your problems. You had a little pain med and a little benzo is all that is listed. Please ask for referral to Neurologist so you can get the use of that leg back!! The basic two beginning studies would tell all. You want nerve conduction and velocity tests. I promise they do not hurt. Sort of like static shock from a carpet and acupuncture so basically discomfort free.
