Apologies as I know this is asked alot. Have searched previous posts but all the links I've found appear to be broken.

Am on medisave's website. Looking to order needles for drawing up, IM inject, and the syringes that are compatible with them. Can anyone provide me with up to date links for these please? TIA! (I'm done arguing with the NHS. Time to take control)

You will need—

1) Long withdrawing needle TERUMO AGANI 21gx 1.5” x100(Green)

2) injection needle BD Microlance 25g x 1” (orange)

3) Medisave Alcohol swabs

4)Yellow sharps bin ( get a fairly large one ).

5) 2ml syringe ( also if you use 1ml ampoules) BD emerald luer Slip concentric

Thanks so much. So I had put all those in my basket except 2) for which I had Terumo Agani blue 23g 1.25".

Is the microlance you recommended better? Just trying to understand the gauges/lengths etc.

I know it has to do with the viscosity of the fluid and the level of fat overlying the injection site. I've put on alot of weight recently and had read somewhere that the higher the bmi the longer the needle required. Do you think 1" will be long enough? (I'm a size 16 so not huge but not exactly skinny either)

Just want to make sure I order the needle gauge and length that delivers the solution correctly and as painlessly as possible if that makes sense?

Well I’m not thin and a 1” Needle is long enough for me . I recommend 25 gauge to inject - the higher the gauge the finer the needle , and the finer the needle the easier the injection . b12 is a very watery injection , not viscous at all , so it passes easily through a fine gauge needle .if you want a longer needle and also finer , you can buy them at Exchange supplies.org —long grey 27 gauge 1 1/2 “ . They are more expensive £6.60 for 100 . Medisave don’t have these .

Yes , that’s how it feels! Grasping the nettle and also the bull by the horns ! I was scared the first time , horribly so . I don’t turn a hair now —it’s routine, as it will be to you too ! You will get your health back . Don’t forget folate/folic acid . Best wishes 🍀💉👍

Yep. Got my 5mg methylfolate. It's what finally sealed the deal for me actually. Historically, I've been having my 3 monthly jabs (folate levels low) and they have had no impact. As in no improvement of symptoms even for a day or two. THIS time I had been taking methylfolate prior to my jab and my goodness! What a difference! I actually felt warmth spreading through my body! And for 2 or 3 days it was like I was waking up. I was functioning and active. Then bam. I started to decline again. Within a week I was back to where I was before the jab. It was THAT marked a difference. I've been having jabs since 2014. And in all that time not once felt the marked difference I felt from this one jab WITH the methylfolate. Not even from loading doses. I honestly think this is my missing puzzle piece. Based on the timings I mentioned, I'm gonna start twice weekly and see how I go.

Thanks so much for your help!
