Should I try to self-inject?

I'm 24 and I've been exhausted for years.

Bloods are always normal but my B12 and folate levels are always at the lower end of the range despite eating plenty of animal products and vegetables.

The highest I've seen my serum B12 is 350 even when taking a 1000mcg supplement.

I did have a PA test for Active B12, MMA, homocysteine and IF antibodies a few years ago and it showed I didn't have PA, just that it was slightly on the low side.

Can you let me know how to go about self-injecting privately please?

---

Latest results

Active B12 - 55 (25-165)

Folate - 5.9 (2.9 - 50)

Ferritin - 106 (30-400)

Although, is my Active B12 low enough to be symptomatic do you think?

The ‘active’ B12 test is supposed to be much more accurate than the normal test, so there’s less of a grey area. Your value is twice the lower limit, so definitely doesn’t suggest low levels.

However, we all know its possible to be symptomatic with high levels.

Yeah, this latest level is ok, but it's the highest it's ever been and that's after long-term megadosing of supplements. I can't get it higher.

I have bought an injection kit, just to try it and see if I feel better. It can't hurt. :)

I bought a kit of 1000mcg cynacobalamin to inject subcutaneously. Didn't hurt but it was awkward getting the liquid into the syringe. Since learnt to use the longer needle to get it into the syringe and the insulin needle to inject.
