Question on B12 Powder from Oxford Biosciences

Hi,

I ordered 40mg B12 bottle from Oxford Biosciences and when I received I could see only tiny bit of powder on the bottom of bottle. Just making sure is it expected content? And also please advise should I add 10ml or 20ml saline since it’s 40mg bottle.

Thanks for your help in advance.

If you want to inject at the normal strength of 1mg per injection , you need to add 40 ml of saline to 40mg of powder , and then inject 1ml of solution . Yes , it does seem a very small amount of powder , but it is the correct amount ! I’ve used it in the past , but when I found that it didnt have any advantage for me over Hydroxocobalamin, I didn’t reorder it . You need to be extra careful in handling this vial in comparison to single use ampoules

Observe very strict hygiene . I used an alcohol swab to touch the top . Keep dark and cool in fridge . Best wishes .
