Hi Billybass is the itching worse after he's had a B12 injection?

The pimples/acne, are likely to be caused by microbes on his skin reacting to the additional B12 by producing substances that his skin is then reacting to. In theory this could be resolved by use of a good skin wash. You might have better luck talking to your pharmacist and seeing what they can recommend prior to his next maintenance shot - though there is always a chance that it is something that won't recur.

I am not a medically trained person.

Itchy near shoulder back?

Hello!

I don't get an itchy back but I get a very tingly back when I'm running low and this tends to disappear or be substantially minimised after I have an injection. I wonder with your son being non verbal if the itchy back is in fact this under the skin tingling/pins and needles?

Good luck both of you in finding the answers.

I've not started shots yet but am B12 deficient as far as I know (more after bloods results tomorrow) but had all the symptoms for over 6 months.

Have usually had an itchy/tingly upper left shoulder blade in that area, came and went but usually annoyed me after hot shower or when lying down on my back.

Seems to have greatly reduced even disappeared since oral spray on 6th day now.

Just you watch, now that I've said that it'll start annoying me again lol

Unrelated to B12, but I find that if I rub vinegar (I use Apple cider) onto back, arms and legs, lightly, after shower, I have no itching. The shower must upset the acid balance on skin. Might work for you, give it a try on that area of concern.

Could be psoriasis which typically is extremely it hy, is an auto-immune condition and can often be found along with PA. It does not have to show with broken skin to itch, and some form only present with isolated areas of skin which can be very small.
