I sometimes wonder if people who take particular supplements that contain pseudo-B12 (e.g., spirulina, blue-green algae) are mislead by their otherwise OK-looking B12 levels.

Again, I sometimes wonder if HCPs question supplement-takers enough to rule this out when there's a contradiction between blood test levels of B12 and someone's pattern of symptoms.

I would guess not, B12 is not really well understood I have found. And mention Methylmalonic Acid and Homocysteine testing....well.....you could be speaking Klingon!

Later commented/corrected "The vitamin is a chemical that is produced by bacteria, but is not itself bacteria".
