Hi. Is this such a thing? From reading through lots of the previous posts, if you’ve had b12 injections, it will show your b12 as raised.
My gp practice said to repeat blood tests in two months (starting b12 next Thursday as that’s the earliest appointment they’ve got!) Then he’ll do intrinsic factor too.
If I’ve had b12 injections will that alter intrinsic factor? I asked gp and they said no.
Thank you

"Taking supplements that contain B12 will affect any tests ordered by your doctor to assess your B12 status. You should not take any supplement with B12 before having your B12 assessed (including MMA/homocysteine/Active B12). For testing intrinsic factor antibodies: keep one week between an injection and the test" so your doctor is correct re the IFA test.
