Do the MMA, parietal cell antibodies, intrinsic factor antibodies & homocysteine tests need to be tested when the individual is not supplementing with B12? Thank you for the help!

Well, I want to see if I have b12 anemia or pernicious anemia.

I'm currently supplementing with drops & a few months ago with cyanoB12 but quit since I was/am still tired. In the past, methylb12 helped with fatigue.

So, I guess testing for functional b12 would be a good idea?

Wow! Thank you so much for all of this information. My doctor was so upset with me when I asked for these tests. He doesn't know anything about B12 anemia and said he has been doing this too long to try to learn and be stressed out by all of this. I was in shock.

That’s terrible of him to say that ! Doctors are supposed to keep abreast of new discoveries in medicine . Truly shocking . I would change my doctor . But easier said than done .

I would change doctors but he did order the tests & methylb12 shots from CA because our area is unable to do methylb12 shots. Hoping that my case can enlighten him!
