Hi I am new, I have been asked to post here from the thyroid UK people. Just wondering if B12 and folate are ok and that the folic acid 5mg is sufficient? I have B12 deficiency symptoms of dizziness, pins and needles, clumsiness, tiredness, swollen tongue, memory loss. Diet is poor due to lack of appetite. Thanks

Folate 2.3 (2.5 - 19.5) given folic acid 5mg after this result

Vitamin B12 228 (190 - 900)

5 mg of folic acid is 10 times the normal recommended daily amount. It is a dose used short-term to boost levels quickly and should be reduced to something like 400 ug a day when levels are OK again.
