Should we be putting our B12 ampoules in the fridge during this heatwave ?

Put B12 ampoules in 'fridge ?
Hmmmm, good point.
The Patient Information Leaflet says it should be stored at 25° or lower. I keep mine in a cool cupboard, so I reckon it'll be OK. But it can't hurt to keep them in the fridge.
If one does it's best to allow them to "warm up" before injecting.
The cyano I use is supposed to be kept at approximately room temperature. I lived in a place that got very hot in the summer, but putting my vial in the fridge would have been too cold. My solution was to get one of those fireproof lock boxes. They are insulated enough that everything in the box remains a normal room temperature (around 70 degrees F) even when the rest of my house was 20 or more degrees higher.
Does anyone remember back years ago the patient info leaflet contained in hydroxocobalamin pack stated a storage temp including a minimum temp as well as a maximum? I recall the minimum being higher than a fridge temp of 5deg. I believe cold storage as well as high temp will deactivate the B12. I`ve often wondered about supplies being sent by air in the hold of a plane. I know medicines etc being imported are shipped in special polystyrene containers to protect from the extreme low temp in a hold.
The leaflet with my Hydroxocobalamin ( rotexmedica)makes no reference to storage temperatures -just says must be kept in the dark. There is no reference to high or low temperatures. But I have a small fridge which I keep at about 10c. I use this fridge for the ampoules .
