Recently diagnosed with low b12 (165) and low vit d (15) . I am getting the B12 shot once a week for a month (of which I have had 4 so far) followed by once a month for two months and taking a large dose of vit d once a week. A lot of my symptoms are slowly getting better. Unfortunately a couple are hanging on . Such as pain in my groin. As well as in my collar bone and tips of shoulders. Everyday I seem to improve a little more. I am still sleeping warm..meaning I wake up really hot and slightly sweaty. Can my vitamin deficiency be causing this? I am just ready to feel 100 percent again. I am taking several supplements, but I am wondering if I am taking the right vit d?

Hi Sweetmama27 do you know what your Folate (B9 or folic acid) level is as this is essential to process the B12? Some symptoms may take many months to improve so it's pretty early days for you yet.
I'm not a medically qualified person but your "bone pains" may be more to do with your Vitamin D deficiency rather than the B12.
What strength Vitamin D are you taking? I'm on a permanent low "maintenance" dosage of 1 – Colecalciferol 800 Unit 20mcg every day.
It would be interesting to know a bit about the cause of your two deficiencies. What sort of diet are you on, how old are you, have you had gastric surgery, what other medications are you prescribed and so on - any thing you can think of that will help others on here to advise you.
I am 38. I haven't had any surgeries. I had a ton of stressful things come crashing down on me all at once and my body responded. I went to the dr 4 times in less than a month and finally they agreed to do bloodwork and around the same time I ended up going to a chiropractor who also does kinesiology. He actually told me before I had my bloodwork done that my b12 was low.
I find that when my B12 levels start to drop, I start getting awful night sweats, it's my sign to give myself a jab. Maybe once your levels get higher, the sweats will stop. For years I thought that it was due to the menopause and just put up with them!
