Waking up feeling down

Does anyone else wake up feeling really depressed? I'm in loads of pain and mornings aren't good for me at the best of times but for the last three months I've been waking up feeling really depressed.

How is it going after your kidney cancer? Any ongoing issues?

I find getting started in the morning difficult but once I'm up and moving, my muscles seem to work better and the pain goes away.

For me, lying in bed is all I want to do but I feel worse if I do it. Getting the muscles moving seems to be the trick for me.

Have you tried just throwing off the blankets and exercising your legs before you stand up? My wife started me on this after she had knee replacement surgery and the Dr prescribed a coloured rubber strap to support the leg exercises.

When in the day do you take your folic acid supplements?

I can't take folic acid because I have PA I can't absorb iron in tablet form it makes me very sick.

I'm not the type to sit and dwell even after my kidney operation, they told me off at the hospital and was given some specialist physio to enable me to use crutches more because I cannot sit in a wheelchair it absolutely kills my back as I feel every tiny bump! Lol.

It's just this weird feeling when I wake up in a morning unless it's just my reaction to pain? My pains at it's worse in a morning and I have to take my second lot of tablets and my inhaler before I can get up and move.

My kidney tumour was removed completely, which was great but I've got another in my leg on the same side. It's trebled in size since it was found last year. It seems that when one is removed another pops up somewhere else. Apparently, they are a weird type of tumour which is benign to start with. It can change though if I knock it or if I get a virus. These tumours are more common in children than adults.

I cannot have surgery at the moment, unless it's life threatening because my breathing isn't very good at the moment.

I'm confused by your connection between folic acid and iron. Are you thinking about a multivitamin? Folic acid is a separate tablet that does not contain iron.

Folic acid is iron replacement isn't it?

Folic acid is a source of folate which you normally get from green vegetables. Spinach, broccoli, kale.

Ferritin is a form of iron. These two are not related but interact in the metabolic processes.

Sorry my mistake I mean they are both used in the treatment of Aneamia. I cannot absorb tablets of either and have to have injections as I get vomiting and diahorrea if I take tablets even if there is a bit in multivitamins, I get symptoms of stomach bug

When I'm low on B12 and then have an injection, (doesn't happen as often with oral sublinguals), I will get a soft poo about 6 hours later. The more deficient I was, the softer the poo up to the point of being diarrhea. I can gauge how low I was before the injection by how soft the poo is. I use this symptom as a marker symptom.

My vagus nerve to the stomach was damaged in stomach surgery 20 years ago and this has led to my B12 deficiency. I no longer produce enough intrinsic factor to recycle B12 in the gut. Stress and work consume lots of B12 and sometimes the previous jab doesn't last till the next jab. I supplement with methyl sublinguals it fill in and so far this is working well for me.

I've never had a feeling of nausea but only hunger when I get B12 and folic acid to repair the vagus nerve. I get strong hunger pangs. This is my symptom. Your's may be different like nausea.

You can get folic acid injection if the supplements cause stomach issues.

The only iron I take is in a multivitamin daily.

Do you know if your stomach is too alkaline?

Do you take antacids for heartburn?

Yes I have constant gastritis, acid reflux, hiatus hernia and hundred of polyps five of them or over 2.5 cm big. I have to avoid multivitamins which contain folic acid or iron because I get very ill. I remember when I was a child I was given a lot of Aneamia meds in a fluid not tablets because I was constantly anaemic and they just used to make me ill. I ended up having it by injection. I used to suffer with nose bleeds until I started my periods then they were horrific. I had fertility problems but managed to have two lovely children but both have genetic health issues. My son has issues with food colourings and lactose and my daughter has PA and fibro! Had to have a full hysterectomy at 42 due to what they initially thought was endometriosis but when they operated was the weird tumours that I keep getting. I'm just a crock lol!!

How does orange juice affect your stomach?

The symptoms from too little stomach acid (alkaline) are almost identical to the ones from too much acid.

Terrible can't drink it unless I really fancy it then I add half water. I get very bad acid as if I've eaten fifty fish and chip dinners from the chi shop lol!
