Hi. I have been agonising over re poisoning myself with gluten for a too soon test for a biopsy and feeling so ill. I can no longer lie in my chair and just breathe. I am angry and weepy and have all the PA symptoms. My gastro took bloods for IF and other stuff I cant remember on Friday but I dont see GP until 1st.
May I please have the information to get the B12 and equipment to self inject?
Thanks so much for all your support. As someone said, for whose benefit are all these damn tests. I just want to feel better. Those who know me know I have been trying to eliminate more AI diseases than the five I already have and am not doing this lightly.
Thanks

I'm sorry you're still having a rotten time. Did you do the BH fingerprick thyroid panel? If so, what were the results?
If you want to start SI, there are several places online you can get hydroxocobalamin ampoules. I've purchased from the German Amazon site, amazon.de, where several Marketplace pharmacies will ship to the UK. Other forum members have used other websites, but I'm not sure which ones.
As for all the peripherals, you can get syringes, needles, sharps bins, swabs etc. from medisave.co.uk.
Injection instructions: YouTube has lots of helpful videos. You will have to think about whether you want to inject into the muscle, or subcutaneously into the fat below the skin.
Many people order from versandapo.de/en/ and mycare.de/en/ - search for "B12 Injektionslösung." I get the Rotexmedica 1mg/1mL. Just watch out that it's hydroxocobalamine as they also cell the cynano form (unless that's what you prefer).
Are you going for IM or SC? The needles will be different. I do SC and use a 26g, 10mm needle, but you can go as small as 30g and 8mm. Insulin needles would work just fine for SC. Also I think the 2mL solutions are more suitable for IM. I ended up getting a lot of leakage with the 2mL solution but 1mL works just fine for SC.
For syringes, many recommend getting the 2mL size in any case, as it's easier to draw up the solution and get out air bubbles etc.
Have you ever had any B12 injections? If not, it would be good to do the first under the care of a medical specialist in case you have a (rare) allergic reaction. Also, it's handy to have someone with experience show you how to do the first one. Especially if you want to go the IM route, you should have someone knowledgeable train you.
I had my sister-in-law, who's a nurse, do my first SC injection. Then I watched some youtube videos and practiced with some water to get the hang of it. Others practice with an orange.
I'm sorry you've been having a tough time with your doctors. Good luck, hope this helps.
I'd also make a list of symptoms (e.g. using the B12D symptoms list) and score them daily on a scale of 1-10. It's a good way of recording what's improving and what's not - especially important when our memory has been affected by b12D!
Thanks for all the details. I have injected before so I have some knowledge.
The tip to check symptoms is gold! I shall do that especially as my dwindling mental acuity is what is worrying me most out of all the many things. I do so hope that that shows some improvement soon.
