B12 and folate deficiency

I was recently diagnosed with the above and have had 4 injections so far. Some days I feel ok and other days can barely move. I am now on monthly injections but keep getting sore throats and kidney infections so have been on antibiotics. I am hoping it gets better and it is good to read posts here about people feeling the same as you feel people don't understand and it is like you are making it up!

Hi Wilha634 sorry to read you are struggling a bit following your B12 injections. It is not unknown as the B12 starts repairing the damage done to your system caused by the deficiency. Sadly there is no definitive timeline as to how long recovery will take place and no two people are the same but at least you know the B12 is working.

Your heading suggests that you also had folate deficiency - are you supplementing that too as folate is essential to process the B12?

I wish you well.
