Hi.
This is probably a stupid question but is it ok to have my flu injection the same day as my b12 injection.
Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.I don't know what I would do without this site.

I had mine both together - no poblem
I too had mine the same day together with a blood test for kidney function and prostate cancer and I'm still "clivealive"
Yup, I'm another who had them together at the same time.
Clivealive and you are still smiling 😀Thanks for all your comments I will go for it then😉
I have never had a Flu injection ..... and have not had the Flu since the 50's when Asian Flu hit the UK. Having developed Gut TB after being vaccinated AGAINST TB I have always felt vaccinations can be a double edged sword.
I've only had flu twice in my life. After the second one, six years ago, I've had the jab every year. Yes, I get some symptoms afterwards - but that just shows my immune system is working.
Ironically, that dose of flu probably saved my life. For a year before then I'd had a bad smoker's cough - that was getting worse and worse. I'd tried giving up, with no joy.
Then I got the flu - even the idea of having a fag made my throat close up and I couldn't smoke for three days. It was also the dawn of electronic cigarettes - so I got one of them and started using it.
After a while I noticed that I'd forgotten to refill it - and hadn't noticed. So I carried on using it empty - just for the psychological 'hit'. I still suck on an empty Bic biro tube on the odd occasion when I feel the urge (normally in traffic jams).
I am not a doctor, so I would definitely ask the doctor/nurse to be sure, but just last week I had my B12 shot and flu shot on the same day, within hours of each other. I asked if it was okay and the nurse said it was and just to do them in different arms. She suggested getting the flu shot on my left side, since I write with my right. I've been fine in the days that have followed. Hope that helps!
Only had the flu once in the last 25 years...after a flu jab that my GP insisted on just after diagnosing B12def cause I was in a risk group. Never again, don't see the point.
But yes, you can get them at the same time if needed.
Last years flu jab is what sparked off symptoms that eventually led to my PA diagnosis. I guess my body must have been really low at the time which caused me to have flu like symptoms. I haven't had my jab yet as I've been waiting for a quiet time in my diary just in case I have a reaction.
I have the b12 injection in Alphington Exeter it was a sting from 12 and a punch in the arm by the buy influenza jab. I feel fine after that. Richard Bealey
