good afternoon everyone. Advice please.

I had my B12 injection at 4pm with the nice nurse. She said would you like your flu jab to save you coming back. I said ok.

Couple of hours later and I feel dreadful, hot, sick, headache, nausea. Has this happened to any of you please and how long does it last x

Im sorry you feel so ill after tour flu vaccination.

My husband had his . He was fine.

My friend had a covid booster and flu vaccine in one arm.

Sore arm and very weary.

Get back in contact with the nurse .

Hopefully she/ he will know if anyone else has had after efects. Also records batch number and expiry date .

Hope you better now

good morning . Thank you so much for replying and as usual giving your excellent advice. I will ring nurse Ann this morning and tell her how I feel.

Fitful night, still nausea, hardly slept but that sometimes happens after my B12 also. At least I got the lovely nurse who is very approachable. So I can mention my concerns. Very best wishes.

Hubby had a very bad reaction to flu vaccine, so I would definately let your nurse know. Hope you feel better soon.

I had my flue and covid on Monday and B12 on Tuesday and I've been fine. I've been getting my flue jab for years though and while I haven't reacted as badly as that, I have certainly felt off colour in the past. I don't know if it's down to the batch or simply how your body reacts but the advice above sounds good. Hope the nurse was helpful.

thank you for taking time to reply. I’ve spoken to the nurse and she said to keep warm, take paracetamol and if no improvement ring the doctor back at 4pm.

I must say I’m starting to feel slightly better. It may have been my B12 and flu jab together because I have a hopeless immune system.

Thank you all for your concern. Best wishes x

I'm sorry you're unwell but glad you're feeling better. Everyone seems to react to vaccines differently. I have no issues with the flu vaccine but it always floors my mother. Though i wonder how she will react this year after being on b12 shots!

thank you for your reply and I hope your mother is feeling better and gets on ok with her flu jab next time. Best wishes x

I've gotten desperately sick from flu injections, fever, sore swollen arm, and a few weeks later a dreadful dose of the flu...

Same thing happened the next year, only I caught the flu twice. I've not bothered getting one since.

Hopefully that won't happen to you! xx

thank you for your reply. I’m so sorry you have been poorly from your flu jab. It is worrying when you have something to keep you safe can make you poorly.

I’m waiting for the doctor to ring to see what I have to do. Very best wishes x

Hope they help you! xx
