Huge thanks for your help and advice.

Just a week in on self injecting and today I feel like me again!

Stayed awake and off my bed ALL day. Slight dip in the afternoon but nothing like it has been.

Heartfelt thanks for the help and advice I've received here. I'm carrying on with the injections ( never thought I'd be able to stick a needle in myself) along with folic acid tablets and liquid iron supplement.

What did we ever do before the Internet and kind hearted people willing to use their time to help others ?

Wishing everyone improved help. X

Wish you well. As things progress you will seem to have set backs but these are more likely times when you feel good and overdo things a bit.

Pace yourself and do lots of gentle exercises like range of motion (yoga) to build back nerves and strengthen muscles. The usage of the muscle helps the nerve repair itself. Getting started is the hardest part for me but once I get going things get easier.

Keep a logbook to help remember activities and your bodies reactions 3-48 hours later. This helps sort out what works from other issues like dietary issues.

Good luck. You are not out of the woods yet just heading in the right direction

pvanderaa Thanks for your advice. Will do.

Nice to read 😊

Have to tell you, though, that I've read that it is important to take folate, not folic acid! (As well as a good vitamin B complex, of course).

You can google folate vs folic acid to read about it.

I'm so happy for you! Congratulations! It's so nice (and encouraging) to hear a success story. Keep up the good work!

Well done you. Keep pacing yourself. I feel so much better since I started injections several months ago. My life has improved so much. Just been on a holiday and realised that this is first time I really enjoyed myself rather than thinking of a vacation as something I had to get through and survive! Ridiculous. No way to live life in that state. Thank goodness for forums like these! And to Dr Chandy.
