Hi Catherinejordan. Can you provide more information? Am I right in assuming this is Methylcobalamin? What is the total dosage quantity listed on the vial or bottle. What diluting do you have and what is the quantity?
Did you get any instructions with the B12?
I will write exactly what it says on institutions. . I can't seem to get a photo uploaded.
Methylcobalamim x10 mg
Self administration diluent x5mg
Fir sublingual /nasal /injection
Methylcobalamim vitamin B12 powder.
Sodium chlorine 0.9% diluent.
That's it no instructions on how to mix or administrator it.
Hi Catherinejordan.
Is the sodium described as sodium chloride 0.9% or sodium chlorine 0.9%.
The reason I ask is that I have never seen injectable dilutant described as sodium chlorine. All I am familiar with is sodium chloride 0.9%.
Whilst chlorine is a constituent part of sodium chloride I do not know enough about chemistry to be absolutely sure that sodium chlorine is a term that can be used to describe what I know of as sodium chloride 0.9% (NaCl).
Whilst the sodium chlorine might be identical to sodium chloride (the same thing by a different name) and since this is for injection, I do not feel confident enough to just make that assumption
This is something the fbirder would be better placed to answer. (Here's hoping he sees this and can set me straight).
Please excuse my caution (which may be unnecessary and extreme) but chlorine in high concentration is dangerous. Plus, I have no knowledge about your supplier.
Also - would I be right in assuming that the liquid volume of the dilutant is 5mls?
Sodium chloride 0.9% and yes liquid volume 5ml.
Sorry I wasn't wearing my glasses.
Phew...thank goodness...would not like to advise you to inject bleach 😀.
So...mixing...
Draw up the 5mls of sodium chloride into a syringe.
Squirt into the bottle containing the 10mg of Methylcobalamin, then gently rotate the bottle.
Leave for about 10 minutes so that all the methyl is fully dissolved and then gently rotate again.
Use a fresh syringe to inject (a diabetic syringe or 1ml syringe is best for small amounts).
0.5mls of the mixed methyl will give you 1mg Methylcobalamin.
The bottle will therefore give you 20 X 1mg doses.
Take care not to touch the bottle around the top area where your syringe needle will be placed - reduces the risk of cross contamination.
I currently inject 1mg on alternate days and will reduce this when appropriate.
People tend to work out what they need to take to keep symptoms at bay and this will differ from person to person. Keeping a symptom log works well and is an indicator of when another jab may be due (symptoms return or worsen).
STORAGE: Most suppliers recommend keeping methyl in the fridge and it has to be kept away from light. I wrap mine in foil to keep the light out and only expose the smallest area when I need to draw up another dose.
Hope this is enough info to get you started...please ask again if you need more help.
Good luck xx

How old is this stuff!
I thought B-Amazing had disappeared off the face of the Earth last year sometime, leaving loads of customers waiting for orders that they'd paid for and would never receive.
Have they resurrected?
