Hi all

My name is Ian, I'm 55 years old and have early onset Parkinson's disease. I was diagnosed in 2011, but had symptoms going back to the mid-90s. I had Deep Brain Stimulation surgery in April last year at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London, and have a DBS recovery blog, which I still add to on a daily basis, which may be of interest to anyone going down that route - dbsacompletenobrainer.co.uk.

I also have a weekly vlog and produce informational/product review videos relevant to Parkinson's disease and/or DBS - this week's vlog is about mannitol and coconut oil, and their possible effect on Parkinson's disease -

Suprised you had dbs so soon after diagnosis. Why did they do it so soon?

I am 52 diagnosed a year ago.
