Parathyroid elevated PTH was 110- anyone know anything about this?
He wants to put me on script D... to bring my D up and hopefully bring down
PTH
, but I am concerned that I may have an overactive
PTH
and want to get an ultrasound . Have a feeling the overactive
PTH
could be responsible for the osteoporosis.

Moreover, it was associated with hyperparathyroidism (OR: 3.48) and with
PTH
levels, independent of vitamin D, calcium/phosphate levels, and motor status."

parathyroid
My calcium was slightly over range and
PTH
was 7.4 just over the higher end of range(7.2) I was wondering if there’s a connection with thyroid problems and parathyroid..I have graves.

Hyperparathyroidism and Bones
It's been a long time since I've had my
PTH
level checked. I was reading that you should have ongoing annual check-ups of calcium and
PTH
levels to detect any long-term changes or recurrence of hyperparathyroidism. I feel fine and don't have the symptoms when I was diagnosed in 2014.

I realized that because my
PTH
was high and my calcium was high, that this was a major problem and the cause was my parathyroid function. My doctor did not diagnose this. Finally I did have "one" parathyroid surgery and feel much better and my bone density is stable (my choice) .

are CTx numbers supposed to be extremely under range while on prolia?
so i can't tell if it's been oversuppression or high turnover that's contributed to injuries in the past 1 year; and high
PTH
throughout (recent test now normal), or under prescdibed calcium and vitamin d, plus my Mum's build being prone to effects of o.p, just want her to have a chance.

Gaslighting GP 🙈
My goodness we didn’t have a very good experience today at local doctors 🙈 He wasn’t concerned with blood pressure and wasn’t going to do a referral to Endocrinologist he said the levels were not high 🙈 both
PTH
and Calcium - I did speak up then waiting patiently in the wings .

Article : 'NHS doctors brushed off our condition as menopause – what we suffer from is far worse'
This occurs when four glands in your neck – each no bigger than a grain of rice – produce too much parathyroid hormone (
PTH
).
Over time, this can lead to easily broken bones, kidney stones, excessive urination and a range of other symptoms that may appear to have no clear cause.

Is my 7 year old son hypothyroid?
I read that low
PTH
might be because of low Magnesium, which is a consequence of low thyroid function. Endo said that she believes this could be a lab error! I cannot believe this! Please share your thought on this 🙏🙏🙏 Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️

My doc didn't do a
PTH
test when he did the yearly thyroid testing......I don't know why except this blood sample has a very very short life and has to be tested by the lab almost immediately..... Synthroid has been around for a long time and approved here in the US.

Low PTH
Has anyone had low
PTH
levels? My last three months levels have been low and just now stopped Calcitrol on neph recommendation. My phosphorus and calcium are both within range so I'm not sure what's causing it.
