Maybe there is more powerful medications against PTH?

Please share what you did for high pth and what was the result.

He wants to put me on script D... to bring my D up and hopefully bring down PTH, but I am concerned that I may have an overactive PTH and want to get an ultrasound . Have a feeling the overactive PTH could be responsible for the osteoporosis.

hi, I wonder if you have any thoughts please, I recently did a private thyroid blood test as was feeling quite rubbish with a long list of issues, ( have previously had parathyroid issue with high PTH and calcium leading to parathyroidectomy over 2 years ago) my thyroid results were normal except for

My calcium was slightly over range and PTH was 7.4 just over the higher end of range(7.2) I was wondering if there’s a connection with thyroid problems and parathyroid..I have graves.

Hello Everyone, I am currently on the waiting list to see another endocrinologist as I have hypocalemia and PTH insufficiency (hypoPARAthyroidism non surgical).. My urine calcium is also low.

It's been a long time since I've had my PTH level checked. I was reading that you should have ongoing annual check-ups of calcium and PTH levels to detect any long-term changes or recurrence of hyperparathyroidism. I feel fine and don't have the symptoms when I was diagnosed in 2014.

Does anyone else have a double dose of PD and PTH? And any suggestions to help my recovery from surgery? Thanks

also my pth is in range and my t3 t4 are pretty low but tsh normal range though i usually ignore tsh. am suffering badly and also worried about the fact that my pthrp was raised .if anyone can give me any help and advice i would it would be most appreciated you can mesg me or reply here . :)

I realized that because my PTH was high and my calcium was high, that this was a major problem and the cause was my parathyroid function. My doctor did not diagnose this. Finally I did have "one" parathyroid surgery and feel much better and my bone density is stable (my choice) .

Oh, and because phosphorous was low, my Pth was normal.... very happy.

My goodness we didn’t have a very good experience today at local doctors 🙈 He wasn’t concerned with blood pressure and wasn’t going to do a referral to Endocrinologist he said the levels were not high 🙈 both PTH and Calcium - I did speak up then waiting patiently in the wings .

so i can't tell if it's been oversuppression or high turnover that's contributed to injuries in the past 1 year; and high PTH throughout (recent test now normal), or under prescdibed calcium and vitamin d, plus my Mum's build being prone to effects of o.p, just want her to have a chance.

The reason for my visit was to discuss my calcium and PTH levels which are consistently on the low side. She seemed so thorough and interested and on the ball, until she saw that my TSH was suppressed and that I was self sourcing T3.
