Increase pred short term pain all over

I have posted my story so may times dont want to have to do again, and some may be tired if hearung moans and groans, at 4 mgs of pred for 4 mos now, reluctant to taper anymore right now, but since June 24th have had chrinic sometimes excrutiating pain, groin, hip, leg, hands, progessively becoming worse, had MRI on both hips aug 3rd, showing a mess, labral tears, cyts, subchondral fracture,severe osteoarthritis, at my wits end, cant get in to see ortho until Sept 11th to talk about results and what can be dine.So I am tempted to increase my pred by 5 mgs for week or so , see if sime pain relief, tylenol for arthritis doesnt touch this pain, but I am hesitant to do that, sincevbelueve pred has caused some of these issues after 8 years of taking it, have read many people increase short term for pmr flares, but last rheumy s opinion dint have pmr anymore, thoughts please?

sorry to hear you are suffering so much but may I ask what pred is as I’ve never heard of that medication?
