Any help on my issue would be great

Years and years ago I was very very over weight hmm 26 stone .. I used to have a lot of issues with jar and ear pain, first the doctor thought it might be a dental problem so I had to get my teeth investigated and it wasn't so I was put on medication for nerve damage with some investigations via ENT I've always suffered ear pain and awful ear infections as a child teen and young adult then it sort of was ok .didn't really notice it had my ears syringed a few times etc . Anyhow fast forward early 30s and I got this pain back again and awful muffled feeling in my ears and loss of hearing so got the ENT appt and they said I am actually deaf in that ear (the one with pain) due to myself damaging it with my Walkman back in the day . He said if I can manage without a hearing aid then basically off I pop . I didn't really bother me I guess I mean I can hear just if background noise it's a no no .so because I was mortally obese they wanted to put me in an MRI to look at my inner ear but I was too big so I had a C.T scan I was told I have very large veins at back of my head could be something I was born with but because I was too big for the MRI they couldn't see the probably and basically was sent on my way to loose weight .

I then had a camera up my nose and was told my equestrian was larger then it should be of someone my age but again she didn't seem too bothered by it and nothing really happened.

Well I just got on with my life very aware I cannot swim under water or get water in my ear as that's it game over earache toothache headache everything ache .

Fast forward current day

My ear is incredibly blocked of course cannot hear probably constantly banging headaches front and back of head on this particular side and the feeling i am under the water kind of walking around in a daze . I wake most days with a headache but this constant thud thud thud I hear is horrible.

Doctors you say? No haven't been 4 years if not more have medical anxiety

Can anyone shed any light .

Oh BTW I am a slim Jim now ha

Have you ever heard of Patulous Eustachian Tube? I have it on my left side and it is due to a severe infection I had throughout my sinuses and it made it's way into my Eustachian tubes causing inflammation. This caused scar tissue in the left tube so it is open all the time. The tube is supposed to be a mucus membrane that is normally closed and opens at times such as when you hold your nose and blow like when you're on an airplane. This caused me to loose a lot of hearing capability in that ear. Do you hear your own voice when you speak? This is called Autophony. Or can you hear your heartbeat in your ear?

I can hear my heartbeat in my ear yes I hear sometimes throbbing or thud sound especially if I am laying down . If I try and pop my ear it either never happens or it pops but goes right back again . I feel like I am in a bubble like if I went in a submarine my head would explode !

Definitely sounds like PET. Google it and see if it fits what you're experiencing.

Yes I had a Google I do suffer from all that . Can i ask is there anything I can do at home to try and fix this ? I see saline nasal spray I might give that a bash ?

Are you in the UK? There’s a doctor in California that offers a liquid that comes in a small squeeze bottle called Patulend. You use it by tilting your head back and to the side then put some drops in your nose. The Eustachian tube drains into the throat and the idea is to try and get the drops to find the tube opening in the throat. I suggest you Google Patulend and you should get several links to articles about the doctor and the drops. Even if you can’t order from him, his information may help you understand your condition a little better.

Have you tried using products like Flonase if your sinuses are clogged this can cause your ear to feel full.
