hi some members may have celiac disease on this website? i’ve chatted in the gluten free chat. but i was wondering if anybody else could talk about what i mentioned. my hands have suddenly started really hurting, i went for a meal n wasn’t careful and had chips. don’t know if they were free from 🙈. i don’t have my usual bad symptoms such as leg n arm aches. but these hands r in pain i cannot understand why. does anybody understand?

I presume you keep a food diary to be able to follow any triggering substances.

It is so difficult to follow food ingredients because labelling can be quite misleading.

Good luck.

Hi Junny,

I am coeliac and in the UK. Not sure gluten would cause the symptoms you describe, unless you have gluten neuropathy?

Regardless, it’s really important to avoid cross contamination, the chips may or may not be GF, depending on whether the oil was used to fry other non GF items.

Hope that helps.
