I am experiencing a pain in my lower right side of my jaw. I am trying to do jaw exercises so don’t know if these are making the pain worse. I’m using a prescription sensitive toothpaste from my dentist.
is anyone else experiencing or have experienced this same pain & the best way to help the pain?
I do have health anxiety so not sure if I overthink too much & am making the pain worse by unintentionally clenching my jaw.
Just another pain to sit & worry about
Thanks Gill

Don't know your age or sex or known medical history, but worse case scenario jaw discomfort can be caused by Coronary artery disease and angina. Perhaps a visit to your GP would be in order.
clenching and grinding of teeth is a most common reason for jaw ache along with dental problems. I find a bite plate worn at night enormously helpful. A trip back to the dentist is your best bet as they are very well able to diagnose and refer you for other medical treatment. GPs are good but not specialists.
Health anxiety is tough for you to have and we shouldn’t underestimate it and its negative effect on you. Talking therapy is great for this.
