my husband (61) ruptured his knee tendon. He had surgery two weeks ago and has to keep it in a straight leg brace for six weeks. A few days ago his OTHER knee became extremely painful. It seems to be locked. Phoned hospital and they say it’s probably caused by overcompensating for the immobile leg. They will look at it on Friday at his appointment when he has the sutures out. He can hardly even use his crutches now as BOTH knees can’t bend. Has anyone else had this?

I've had trouble in one knee for years and yes, the other does suffer due to having to do more than its fair share. Sorry to say, there is no easy answer. I'm luckily retired, but my mobility is badly affected.
Ruptured knee tendon (ouch) did he have ACL surgery… I would get him a wheelchair as a temporary fix until he see the surgeon and ice his good knee thats now having issue and try some over the counter joint cream (asper cream, Blu Emu, Australian Dream Cream or Biofreeze patches or cream) it sucks but you don’t want both legs to have troubles.
