hello.I had knee replacement 7 months ago also had it manipulated ,,still cant work if I stand more 30 minutes my lower back hurts and the back of my heal on same leg very painful...motion in my knee is very little ...any ideas whats wrong with me?? I am 56 years old and life really sucks...thanks

What has been said to you at the surgical follow-ups? Are you following physiotherapy - are there any follow-ups to it?

I feel like I lived at PT went 3 days a week and after manipulation everyday ,, and had that bending machine at my house I was on 8 hours a day ! My whole leg is swollen and my ankle is huge ! My O doctor I will not see anymore ,, basically he told me what movement I have is all I get ( and it's not good) I under my reg. Doctors care she doing a lot of test ! leg looks like if push it blow up SO tight ! Go Wednesday back to doctor to see what test I get to have next ! Not only costing me fortune but not being able to work after 7 months things getting bad !! Thanks for listening

That sounds wretched - please let us know what advice your regular doctor has for you and whether she's considering that you might need a 2nd opinion.

You shouldn't be having swelling after all this time so something clearly isn't right. It's good to hear your doing the physio but it's also easy to overdo it which could be causing the swelling. Could also be a trapped nerve or ligament problem so don't let them fob you off. Ask gp to refer you to a different hospital to get a second opinion as its not right to leave you like this. A further scan or exray may show the problem but don't let them give up on you. X

Thanks I go doctor today to see next step! I was told get a second opinion but I called three different doctors orthopedic doctors and no one would see me guess they didn't want to get involved !! My whole leg is very stiff and bending knee very little ... I haven't. Even PT for 2 months or so they said they helped me about all they could ! Very depressing
