Try not to worry too much . My back is very bad but I’ve never got a proper diagnosed name for it . I just put a lot of it down to severe wear and tear .

Hello, I have had back problems and pain for many years and one GP mentioned spinal stenosis to me so I assumed that that was what I had, until I saw an orthopaedic surgeon who is doing a full knee replacement for me and when he asked me if I had any other health problems I mentioned spinal stenosis and he pulled up my X-rays from a couple of years ago and told me no, I didn't have spinal stenosis but a degenerative disc disease! Confused me or what? Top and bottom of it for me is that I have arthritis in my spine causing the problems. I don't know whether I can trust what my GP tells me anymore.
