Any suggestions, pain is severe all the time, but at night I could easily cut my whole leg off from my hip. Its like having Sciatic nerve damage every night when I go to bed. Tears won't come anymore as I have tried to deal with this on my own as I don't want to burdon anyone. I am waiting to speak with a Neurosurgeon about having an operation, which terrifys me. For my life would end if I ended up in a wheelchair. Please can anyone suggest pain relief.

Partner wouldn't cope with me being in wheelchair, total respect for those who are. No disrespect but looking after adults within home already and I would add extra problems

Very sorry to hear your pain, Don't make more delay and just visit your neurologist for the spine pain treatment, otherwise it can cause severe pain. orthopedicsurgerysandiego.com/

Have you been to a pain clinic? They can be really great at helping find ways of dealing with pain. I have a friend who has very severe osteoporosis and is in constant and severe pain, but she does get relief for quite a while from spinal injections (steroid plus anaesthetic) provided by our local pain clinic, and they also helped her sort out her pain meds so she got better control of the regular pain as well as breakthrough pain. If you don't want an operation right now, then really seeing a pain clinic is probably your only option.

I too deal with the pain, but you need to find a pain clinic. They can do wonders with meds & injections. I had great results in the beginning. After a time I personally had to have surgery on my neck. I have somewhat felt like that but there is hope. I am not sure who the person is that suggested that particular site but I received pretty much the same thing. I wish you the best & hang in there

Sometimes there is no pain relief, but there is always pain reduction. Alexander Teachers, McTimony chiropractors know a lot about this and can help reduce the pain.

There is pain and there is increase in pain caused by muscle tension and mental worry. Mindfulness and meditation can help with this.

There is also the issue of what type of mattress are you sleeping on.

Some kinds of pain are caused by inflammation and can be reduced by erythromycin. Google erythromycin anti inflammatory effects.

Hope this helps.
