Ongoing pain in hands at night

I saw a post of someone experiencing night pain and her/his pattern is exactly like mine the pain only ceases when you get up. I am on pregablin 50mg day 75mg night. No help.from neurologist. He tells me to go to a Pain specialist. I am going weight on pregablin which increases the depression

I was prescribed that pregablin about 6 months ago, I read the leaflet and it spoke about putting on weight so I refused to even try that drug. There is no way I’m going to put weight on when my joints are bad . Ridiculous . Why don’t you find some other medicine.

Hello, I have that problem too, I thought it was just me. I tried Pregabalin but it gave me issues with breathing. I take Gabapentin and have for some time now and it works for me. Wondered if you’d tried that? If your neurologist isn’t helpful would it be possible to try a different one? The first one I saw wasn’t very helpful but he left and the new one is very good. I do hope you find something to help, it’s a miserable problem.

I think a Rheumatologist may be more appropriate for you to see. I too have terrible pains and now intense stiffness in both hands and wrists. Started 30 years ago but much worse now i am 65. Could be arthritis of some type. It’s excruciating. I personally find Gabapentin and Pregablin are evil drugs. Never again for me.
