Gabapentin for night leg pain

Hi have been taking amitriptyline at night for about 6 years but no longer working. Have been prescribed gabapentin to try but three times a day, does anyone take just a single nighttime dose for overnight pain rather than three? TIA

Have you had a diagnosis as to what is causing the pain ?

5 years is a long time to be taking pain medication.

After a while the medication will have little or no effect.

I was on a pain management course and we looked into the effects that pain medication has on our bodies and how long it is actually effective for.
