Found the article online earlier when I was looking for something else. Looks like a TENS machine but I’d be interested to see what the rest of you think.

Looked at the website, looks quite good on the face of it but I'd say you'd certainly be taking a chance if you shelled out for it. Not that it's likely to be a scam but it's not thoroughly tested either so might have no effect. As it happens I'm considering something similar, except you don't buy the device but attend a clinic where you get treated. But it's a lot more expensive, about £3000 plus travel and accommodation for 2 weeks. Also available privately in Ireland, called Calmare Therapy.
Later edit: I see you can get it on Amazon and return within 30 days for refund in which case could well be worth trying!
I agree and I think it basically looks like an expensive TENS machine. The part about the possible burning if the pads are too close together looked a bit concerning - there was something else as well that I noticed but I can’t remember what it was, I will have another look. It may well be that the TENS machine instructors also refer to possible burning but I didn’t notice it on our one. Never heard of the Calmare Therapy, will have a look. Dr Hegarty’s profile looked quite impressive when I was reading up on the BioWave thing.
I have been researching the Calmare therapy. I wonder why isn’t offered in the UK - I have had a look at Dr Michael Cooney’s site as well in the US, New Jersey.
It's also known as Scrambler Therapy, in fact I think that's how it's mostly known nowadays. Not in the UK under that name either though, as far as I know. You can get it in Rome but these people never replied to my email. I think there's probably no particular reason it's available in only some countries, it's just that there aren't yet many providers worldwide.
