New and new meds too

Hello I have recently found your site and have posted a few comments. I would love to get some feedback on the new to me combination of Etoricoxib 60mg and Nefopam 30mg as I’m having several undesirable side-effects, notably lack of sleep which never helps anyone suffering with pain. I’m only three days in on this new regime and am wondering how long to stick with it. Has anyone found that taking Nefopam with food is best as one or both meds give me stomach pain. I’m also taking Lansoprazole. The new meds have replaced Naproxen, Paracetamol and Amitriptyline none of which made much difference. I have severe osteoarthritis in my knee but also have it in my spine, hip (one replaced) and feet (one toe fusion). I can’t tolerate opiates or codeine so my pain relief options are limited and I’ve exhausted the physio route! Any insight gratefully received.

I did mine the other way round but I got told to stick with it for 7 to 10 days. If it still hasn't settled I would contact your GP.

Thanks for replying. Unfortunately the side-effects for the Nefopam were just too much for me to tolerate - no sleep, stomach pain, headaches and blurred vision - that I was told to stop taking them. I’m still taking Etoricoxib but now on 30mg as my doctor agreed that the 60mg was too high a starting dose. Now I’ve exhausted all the painkiller routes which is depressing.
