Neck pain

Hi anyone give me any advice I keep getting bad neck pain a lot of the time on and off for about 8 years. I now have pain in the side of my neck On the left side, it’s almost near the gland and it’s got a slight numb feeling to it, it’s making me worry it’s something bad, I’m sure it’s not but I’m always in pain with something and feeling tired a lot. I was on b12 jabs which they’ve taken me off for a while, I have more bloods to be taken end of month, but I just feel so fed up. I have 4 children aswell so I know I’m busy but I feel so tired all the time. Sorry to go on, just feel like I need advice from a person outside my home life

I wonder maybe if your doctor would consider you to have an X-ray to see if anything untoward in your neck bone/top of your spine. Something needs to be done as no one should go through this for this length of time.

Don’t think your B12 shots should have been stopped ? Usually B12 shots are for life. ???

Hi, check out the Healthandcare website as they can cater for so many different kinds of neck supports and aids at reasonable prices and you can even claim vat back. I have bad neck pain that makes me vomit it is so bad. I had to see an OT and have a neck brace made as i have a small but long neck. On this site found one that fit with polystyrene balls for comfort. Trust me things like that help. I still have constant pain but the fitting neck brave is a godsend. As for pain relief I have morphine and high level paracetamol and ibuprofen.i have TMJ too which you may have. I also have Myofascial pain. I have been diagnosed with all. Nothing helps. TeNS makes it worse even. Get good supports is my advice. Good luck x

Sounds like you could use some time off. Your body is telling you that you need to rest. It’s stress. My neck hurts too, went for mri, have a bulging disc. So I am going to begin the shots in the neck. When that wears off then my doctor will burn the nerves in the neck. No pain for 6-8 months. Take care of yourself.

Sorry to hear you’re having a lot of pain in your neck mrsp2019 l too have a lot of pain in my neck my pain is down to osteoarthritis , I had a X-ray a month ago.more of the same have you had a X-ray on your neck.at all.? It must be so hard with you having 4 children, pain killers aren’t much good what I do I have them if I really need them l try a hot water bottle or a Neck seed microwave heat pad. Hope you get sorted soon jane

Hi, me too I have pain in the neck. I had an MRI and it’s spondylosis. Do you feel dizzy Too? I take pain killers but never tried hot water bottle or microwave heat pad.

One of the many pains I have is neck pain, especially in the morning.

It's difficult ( maybe irresponsible) to suggest something without knowing what exactly is the cause of your pain.

However, I'll tell you what I do every morning after I get up: I start turning my head from one side to the other. It hurts a little but after doing it 30 times, that is, 15 times each side, the pain subsides. I also do simple exercises like that for other pains.
