My Mom was suffering from back pain for several months. Even though we took her for physiotherapy treatment, there was no improvement. When we did an online search to find an alternate solution, we found this chiropractic centre that does chiropractic treatment oakvillechiropractic.com/ch...
. After going through the details, we felt that we should take a second opinion. Is there anyone who has done this treatment before? Do tell us your opinion too.

Yes, I have tried this several times over the decades but each time it has only left me sorer. Heat, gabapentin and co-codamol are the only things that help. I have been taking glucosamine sulphate and hydrolyzed collagen for a year and think these have helped a little with hip pain. Back pain is minimized when I do less bending and twisting.
One thing I haven't tried and would like to is to see an osteopath 🤔

Hi Christina. I have been having treatment with a Chiropractor for over 30yrs and it is the only thing that helps my back and neck pain. I'm in the UK so I don't know what the regulations on training are in Canada. However, I did look at the clinic online and it looks like a professional set-up with the correct qualifications and a good history. They seem a safe bet and I would say give them a try. I was sceptical when I first went as I'd had years of Orthopaedic doctors fobbing me off and loading me with medication. 30+yrs on I still trust them to keep me moving and relatively pain free and no drugs. I took my Mum some years ago and she only needed one treatment as her "lumbago" which had plagued her for years was a left over from childbirth. One treatment and she never had the pain again. I have total faith in my Chiropractor and as I have a neck problem, he has always spoken to any Anaesthetist before I've had any sort of operation to make them aware of how carefully they have to handle my neck. Hand on heart, I trust him with my life. I even sent my own GP to see him when she had neck problems and she now refers patients to him. Definitely worth a try and I hope your Mum gets a successful outcome. Do keep me posted on how it goes. Regards. Gail J
I definitely think that chiropractor is something that you should try. Because some people do get good results while others don't get any help at all from them. I think a lot of it has to do with what's wrong with your back, what's causing the problem. If your mom has osteoporosis though the chiropractor probably would not want to adjust her. My chiropractor stopped treating me after I develop several fractured vertebrae due to osteoporosis.
