Steroid side effects

On 40mg a day prednisolone going down slowly for temporal arteries.....had biopsy etc for diagnosis.....has anyone had crunching neck, heavy head and numbness where the biopsy was with a full ear feeling.....Dr says it's side effects of steroid but not convinced as haven't seen that listed....?

This does not sound like prednisone. It sounds more like a complication from the surgery. Did a vascular surgeon do the biopsy?

no .....eye surgeon ....strange she called today and is arranging another MRI scan (that could take a while), The numbness, ear pain and neck pain certainly haven't got less even decreasing the prednisolone...telephone consultation with GP tomorrow too...we will see....I'm not convinced its the steroids either........

Ended up being prescribed duloxetine 30mg for the nerve pain..........then yesterday in A&E with numbness on one side of head...and pins and needles in arm and leg...ecg ok, bloods ok, tested for stroke ....nothing there, so being referred to neurologist as couldn't fine anything sinister causing it......today just as painful....take paracetamol for the pain and get on with it basically...very frustrating.
