Hi, I've had symptoms of Covid 19 and didn't have a great time, I was ill but not hospitalised. However I have ongoing pain in my right lung. This lung suffered the most through the 4 weeks that I was ill, including me having to cough up mucus deep in the bottom of my lung which was extremely painful. I have been told that it will take time to heal but it's been two months and the pain is constant, with the same tight chest feeling. I have had a swab test on 1st May (negative) my symptoms started 23rd March. I have has an antibody test 10th May (positive) indicating that I have antibodies for Covid 19. I work a very physical job so I get tired but I have been doing this job for years. I am now experiencing extreme fatigue.

Endless pain in right lung
Are you able to contact your GP. if this pain continues and your are short of breath you might still got fluids on your lung. Really would get that checked out urgently. It's your life on the line here.
Please try or ring NHS 111 and don't be fobbed off. Good luck Tamm 💜❤!!!
There is mounting evidence that some people are taking a long time to recover. I have a friend that has just been signed off work for another month, having had the main illness 6 weeks ago. So take things gently and don't over do things. Contact your GP surgery and get their advice.
Hi Tamm12 ,
Sorry to hear about your ongoing lung pain and fatigue following your illness.
As you know, there are many things that healthcare professionals are still learning about this new virus, so there are not yet enough general reference points to compare yourself to.
If you are worried, it is safest to get in touch with your GP, and get their medical advice on the specific symptoms you are experiencing and rule out anything serious. To ensure you ask the right questions and get the right answers, take a look at our leaflet on Managing your Medical Appointments here: painconcern.org.uk/managing...
If it is confirmed that your pain does not signal any serious problem in your body, you may consider some pain management techniques to ease your recovery. For this, I recommend our leaflet on Stress, Pain and Relaxation (painconcern.org.uk/stress-p.... It is hard not to worry in the current circumstances, but evidence shows that stress can make our pain experience worse, so it is definitely worth giving relaxation techniques a try.
Finally, you mention difficulty with your job. If you need support with your employer, depending on where you are, Fit for Work or similar services might be able to help you: fitforwork.org/ .
I hope this helps and I wish you a quick recovery!

Not for Tamm12, but for previous remark. Pain in R lung sounds like pneumonia. I agree, see
your GP and since you tested positive for C19 you really do need to be checked again and not work so hard at physical labor. I do phys. labor with a pain syndrome and afterwards I have to lie down for a while. If it is your job, maybe they would give you time off? Or some other way to work as a disabled person. In US, it is your right.
