I missed two arthritis blood appointments and therefore the nurses stopped my methotrexate injections- I only realised when it was time for my next one and I had none left and no message from the injection delivery people. I rang the rheumatology lot and they told me why. I went for my bloods and they said they’ll sort it now that I’ve been. Anyway getting to the point, I’m wondering if that could have flared up my psoriasis as I have psoriatic arthritis. And also I have started getting pain in my back- spine going down to my shoulders and below. Anybody understand?

As methotrexate is an immune suppressor, it has two functions. It controls symptoms currently but it also stops the immflamation from causing long term damage. So yes, it makes sense that your psoriasis has got worse without the methotrexate and the pain as well.

To look at the bright side, this break shows that the drug is still working for you! I hope you get your injection as soon as possible and your pain and skin can go back to base levels.

Yes. If your on medication for PSA and psoriasis you CAN NOT stop the medications and yes you need to have blood test but with this Corona Virus makes it a little hard to go out and your doctor should understand this and prescribed until testing was possible.

My story a lesson learned:

Three years ago I went in for a thyroidectomy (cancer) and I was being injected with Stelara for Moderate/severe psoriasis No PSA at this time (ALL) of my Doctors decided that I should STOP the Stelara prior to my operation...... GUESS WHAT..... the backlash from suddenly stopping my injection for my psoriasis brought on a Psoriatic Arthritis Attack that has left me cripple for 3 yrs now inspite of starting another injectable for now both psoriasis/PSA ..... My new Rheumatologist said this was bad and I should never had stopped my Injections only delayed them for a couple of weeks..... I’m miserable 😩
