replacement wheelchair

I first saw the wheelchair services way back at the end of March to get a replacement wheelchair but it has been delay after delay. They are now saying today but after being let down so often I don’t believe it - with my anxiety high. Has anyone else had recent problems with wheelchair services in their area?

How are you getting on with your wheelchair after a week? I think all wheelchairs seem to come from China now and are just rebranded when they arrive in the UK. I have an electric one but it’s a real bone shaker which isn’t good when you have back problems. I can only really use it in hospitals where the floors are so flat and smooth. I suppose that’s good really as I seem to be spending more and more time in hospitals recently! 🙄

This came from Germany but I know the company has moved some ofbits operations to Poland. I’m finding it great. One of the problems I had that wheelchair services noticed as well was my body tended to slump to the left - this was css as using a lot of issues with my ribs on that side. So the cushion and arm rests (I didn’t have arm rests before) are helping with this. The Quickie Argon 2 is really good wheeling and I’ve had no issues. The wheelchair services team came to see me a week after and made some minor as iterations to the footplate but they were pleased my side pain was reducing. After a long wait, wheelchair services cid a good job!

Sorry to hear of your issues? Did you get it through w/c services? If not - maybe see if you are entitled to one. They might be able to get you something better to help you.
