Bits of my face keep going numb randomly and I get an electric shock feeling in my top lip, I've watched it go to and fro in the mirror. It's all remarkably annoying frankly.
I have fibromyalgia and neuropathy in my hands. Recently my left shoulder has been really painful and causing my left arm and hand to go numb and tingly.
I am worried about my face. Do any of you lovely people have any ideas? I'm due to see the neurologist on Thursday but I'm expecting it to be cancelled due to the virus. Is there anything in particular that I should ask or say to him?
Thank you for taking the time to read this.

A face to face appointment might be cancelled but they should be having them by phone or video link so it would be a good idea to make sure you can still have your appointment.
This could be a pinched or aggravated nerve, or similar, but best to let the neurologist decide. There are many nerves that run down through the spinal cord and to the neck, and they do lots of different things so pain can be felt in a different spot to where the source of the pain originates, and the same goes for that tingling nerve feeling.
Good luck, I hope you get that telephone appointment!
Thank you for your post. It is useful that you are speaking with your Neurologist, even over the phone appointment will be beneficial to try and diagnose where the pain is coming from.
However, if you feel you still do not have any answers after tomorrow, please do not hesitate to post again and we can try and offer some advice. I have also linked our web page which is useful for pain coping mechanisms and conditions.
