Distraction is the BEST for chronic pain, depression and etc I go straight to comedians who really make me laugh to the point of crying and laughing at the same time.My very favorite is Katt Williams. I laugh and cry so hard..Ive been asked if Im ok.

I also like to distract myself from all my med stuff with making others laugh. It usually works.

Laughing is one of the best medicines right. I’ve recently found a breast lump and waiting to get a mammogram. I was totally cool with it yesterday but my anxieties are overwhelming today. Like I think the worse and my fear is leaving my kids who are

Only 6

& 4.

I like sketching & swimming in a warm pool. Playing with my girls. Comedy is great I love laughing too or watching a fab movie xx

Been in ur spot several times and the thing that freaked me out the most..was ME and my own brain..waiting for the test and the results.

Go to the silly.... ID be sketching something super funny in a swimming pool..maybe u can get ur kids onboard to see what they come up with too. Then make sure to take those pics they drew or colored with ya for distraction, and u can focus on the pics.

Some funny movies I go to... What about bob....Step Brothers....ELF.... All the Hangover movies.

Bring some music also with ya..good for distraction n calming.

Sending a hug ur way and we r all here if ya need us.

Hope...while you’re waiting for your mammogram try a product called Pascoflaire. It’s passionflower and it’s a natural anti-anxiety. It works!

I had a lump 22 years after having my son and breastfeeding him for 14 months. It was old crystallized milk!

Good luck. Keep us posted. 🙏🏻

I have taken up crocheting. I started off doing cushion covers and progressed to teddy bears and clothes. I am now crocheting pom pom hats as extra xmas presents for family and friends, I've done 25 so far! It really helps with the pain. I learnt how to do it by following YouTube tutorials

I do activities that require my undivided attention. I started painting my nails almost daily because when I’m focused on that, I have to push everything else out.

for me knitting and crochet I have loved arts and crafts all my life but now in older age and in a lot of pain with my spine it takes my mind off the pain and helps me relax :0

I had three back surgeries that didn’t really help with the pain in my spine after some osteoporotic fractures occurred. Two years ago I was becoming a lounge lizard,so decided to get a dog! I’d never had one before. However not only has he become my best friend who I talk constantly to,he also gets me up and out walking nearly everyday! He is a huge deterrent for me to think about something other than my chronic pain.

Hi I was in pain 24/7 until I discovered Colouring for Adults (you might have seen the books around and about) . When pain strikes to the level that is unbearable, my colouring books help. My concentration is so intent as I have arthritic hands and it can be difficult at times to hold the pencils and keep within the lines.

I hope this will help a little it helps me.

Keep happy and think positive. Hugs ( not to tight in case it hurts) coming your way.

Well I try I really do during the day I try to occupy my mind but it’s really hard, I try to go out each day for a short walk on my sticks, even if it’s to the corner and back it’s something but the nerve pain and stiffness is so difficult

The cold more than heat as I use the Biofreeze gel through the day and then I use the Biofreeze spray through the night

I live with severe neuropathy. When I’m bed ridden the only thing that distracts me is singing and listening to music lying down. I watch YouTube videos. I also read good novels.

I sit in pain. I can’t paint, colour, knit and such.

I hope you find a good distraction.

Music therapy is awesome I love red hot chilli peppers x

Netflix searching holiday trips I’ll never go on but it excites me gives me hope. Shopping on rose gal in FB group where people post pics of their stuff. The Xmas dresses are pretty or very awful but always fun. Going to coffee shop watching people going to book store seeing what’s trending. Snap chatting with some guy ive never met but became online friends from another country he’s very fun been 4 years !! He’s cute !! It’s clean lol !!
