I have sore on top of toe, think it's an ulcer. I know it's trivial compared to some pain, but believe me it hurts. Anyone have similar, or can suggest any way to ease? Thanks

Toe ulcer
You say on top of toe.....near the nail? Or where toe points forward? Unlikely to be an ulcer on your toe.
Soak in warm water or if you think maybe an infection...as hot as your toe can stand.
Do that several times a day and if no improvement see your GP.
Keep clean and maybe soft dressing over it

Thanks, have seen podiatry OP (referred by nurse) dressing and padding supplied and attached to toe. Nurse said corn. foot doctor says not so, in fact he was honest enough to admit he didn't know,...hope he was not keeping some horrible truth from me!!! It was just my idea that it might be ulcer. Have to remove dressing after two days (now done) but keep padding on. Follow on appt in two weeks as doc. says he's curious himself to see if it sorts.
Correction...Podiatrist Not nurse dressed toe. as for asking on here even professionals aren't ness. experts and other sufferers opinions can be interesting ,helpful even would you believe?
To be honest iv had alot of support to help get things sorted from this site. I also think people experiencing/experience of a certain issue can be helpful with advice on pain/tips etc.
I hope it eases and you are able to get an answer to what it is.
Have you checked that your shoes are long enough and wide enough? Size can change over time and shoe could be rubbing on the toe, especially if you have developed a bunion or some thing similar.
Thanks for reply, I've realised feet change over time and in the last few years I have gone from size5,to 5,1/2, to 6. Podiatrist examined the shoes I was wearing and agreed they were suitable, I have always chosen comfort over style!!. I wear mules slip on as slippers which also met with his approval. Just one of life's mysteries and meantime I'm grateful that at least the pain has eased quite a bit...Deo Gratias!
