So as well as on-and-off bloating, I have had sharp pain on the right side of my stomach near the abdomen.
I have an ultrasound booked for 3 weeks time (my doctor thinks it could be gallstones) and a blood test tomorrow to rule anything out (can't believe how many things bloating and stomach pain can be!)
Anyway, so for some reason I've got a habit of pressing on my stomach to see how bad the pain is. I then do the same to the same area of the left side of my stomach. Now when I press both sides really hard it is really painful.
Is there something wrong with one or more of my organs, OR is the pain normal when you press those areas very hard?
Sorry for coming across as a weirdo.

You say: "Anyway, so for some reason I've got a habit of pressing on my stomach to see how bad the pain is."
I think there may be a reason you are doing that other than to see how painful it is. What you describe doing I have done on occasion to try and reduce the pain when I have discomfort from an over contracted muscle. Maybe you are trying to stretch out a minute muscle. Worth investigating and experimenting where you press with your fingers.
Cannot know if something is wrong with organs or not. This is why doctors do tests. Worth looking at diet. Also try the old remedy of chewing food 72 times. Bloating can be caused by gas created by bacterial action on lumps of food. If food lumps are very small or almost liquid gas creation could drop.
