Sudden pain at side of Achilles when walking

Hi everybody ,I had just took my dogs out when i got a sharp severe pain at the side of my Achilles, I couldn't walk on my foot and had to walk on my tip toes to my home ,I've took naproxen and resting it now as any body had this and know what it could be.

I can sympathise with you because I have a lot of foot pain, mine is mainly arthritis , it does seem as if you have triggered something that needs attention, try and get an appointment with a doctor , even a chiropodist might have some idea. Make sure you have plenty of arch support in your shoes or boots. I think there is a condition called Axhillies tendons , I think your find it is just a strain of some sort, good luck

Thanks for your reply im under physio for other joints so i will have a word with her ,i do have flat feet and have been wearing heavy boots with the bad weather so maybe that hasnt helped .
