I’m sorry you’re suffering so much Mary. Make sure you keep warm, my pain is always so much worse if I get cold. Keep moving - it’s tempting not to when you hurt & you get stiff. If you need to lay in bed watching tv or taking a nap then do so, listen to your body. Ask your Dr to review your pain meds, there are lots of options. I find there are always side effects but it’s better than being in intractable pain x

Have you ever had a Pain Clinic referal? I wonder if you could ask about an urgent home visit?

Are you under an Orthopaedic Consultant or a Rheumatologist? Would you consider phoning their secretaries and asking for help? Or write a letter or email?

xXx

See an Alexander Teacher. They may be able to help your muscle control skills and as a result reduce the pain.

Book an appointment with a massage therapist. They can help undo the over contracted muscles that you have. This will also reduce the pain in the long run.

Have you considered opiates?? I have lived with chronic pain for over 20 years and on opiates for at 17 years. It is more difficult with all the negative press, but it might help you. So sorry you are suffering. Constant pain affects every aspect of your life. Hang in there, you are not alone.

Sorry you are in so much pain. I know it can get the better of us and make us feel we’ve had enough. I suggest going back to your consultant or GP, whoever is taking the lead, and pressing for better pain relief. Don’t be brave and under report how you are feeling. Let them know how desperate you are. Perhaps it’s time to try another painkiller or cannabinoids with the agreement of your specialist/GP?

Whatever you do, know that people who have read your note will be thinking of you and sending positive energy your way. Xxx
