SINCE THEN I KEEP GETTING THIS NASTY PAIN ON THE LEFT SIDE OF MY HEAD IN THE AREA OF MY TEMPLE.

I hope you have seen your GP or a senior nurse practitioner to have your BP checked and general assessment of your problem.I dont know your age,but you have to remember that the blood does not flow so quickly as we get older,as the blood vessels get less flexible and slightly 'clogged' up. That is why it is important to count to 5 after changing direction especially in the morning. There are exercises which are good(Buergers exercises) Before getting up,1) Sit up-count to 5 2) Sit on side of bed-count to 5 3) Stand up count to 5, then if feel OK walk slowly, to give the blood in the blood vessels time to counter gravity and get to the brain. I do this in my Falls Prevention weekly class at which I am the Instructor.
