Anyone who is taking longtec for spinal stenos.I have been on it for 13 years and have obviously built up a tolerance.Am on 80mg.in morning.I augment in evening with ibuprofen. My gp says he cannot increase my dose without consultants permission.think this is ridiculous.no-one in western society should have to accept so much pain.i am 76 for God's sake what does it matter if I get hooked now.in fact I would welcome it.sometimes I feel suicidal anyway

Garvary, it's Fancy1959. I have never taken Long Tech since I don't have any spinal stenosis thank goodness. I didn't want to ignore your post and I certainly don't want to ignore the last sentence of it. Please please take care of yourself because there are always people in this chat room who care and he want to be there for you. Not to mention all that you have to live for between family and friends and perhaps children who you haven't had the joy of watching them complete their cycle in life. Even though sometimes we all feel that there are easier ways to deal with the pain and the multitude of symptoms this chronic monster piles upon us the easy way out is never the answer. There is no option that begins with sui.....! We Are One in all MS Warriors and as such we never give in and we never give up! To do so would allow this monster to beat us and we are made of Sterner stuff than that! Please talk to your doctors and see if there is an alternate medicine that you can try that you have not built up a tolerance for. Many many times activity and motion are our best defense against pain. I to have back problems but I discovered an inter Skeletor doctor not a chiropractor who works on the muscles not the joints and he has done wonders for my back Back & entire body. I've got an appointment 10 days from now and believe me I am more than ready to see him as my back is killing me but I know that once I visit him within two or three days I will get my much-needed relief. So there are always options and I would be happy to discuss them with you. Please just don't give up. That is an unacceptable way to make the pain go away. I look forward to speaking to you soon and until we do please take care. Fancy.
