Can anyone help with what a enlarged prostate feels like as I’m having a low down pain in my stomach?

There is a designated forum for prostate....you are more likely to find answers there.

Good Luck

My husband has been treated for prostate cancer. Please go to your doctor to be checked. Early diagnosis gives a better outcome as in the case of my hubby also as the other contributor says there is a forum for prostate cancer

Hi Donkster

Having recently been checked over for possible enlarged prostrate I would say you should go and have the conversation with your GP.

The process involves a blood test to check your Prostrate Specific Antigen (PSA) levels in conjunction with a physical exam, which although a little embarrassing isn’t that bad really. You might not ever look your doctor in the eyes again though.😳

Whether they do this depends on the symptoms you report. Typically with enlarged prostrate this is things like increased frequency and urgency of urination, getting up multiple times at night to go to the loo etc. All things that happen as we get older anyway, but sometimes can be a sign of prostrate issues.

Whether the pain you refer to could be prostrate related is for a doctor to say after they have asked you the relevant questions.

As others have said early intervention is key with treatment for prostrate (and lots of other things) so the sooner you go the better, and hopefully they will be able to put your mind at rest.

If you want more advice on what the symptoms are like then as Bananas5 says the prostrate section of HU May be a better place to ask.

I was all clear and just getting older. 👴🏻

Good luck.

🙏🏻
